Next week is the Public Hearing for an appeal by Rossco Investments, aka Mr Simon Howie, against North Lanarkshire Council's June 09 refusal of planning permission for an A8 Trade Park. The appeal relates to land adjacent to the site of a proposed pyrolysis plant at Carnbroe, and will take place from Mon to Thurs next week 25-28th in the Strathclyde Hilton Hotel. Local anti-pyrolysis campaigners will give evidence on Wednesday. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Local campaigners believe the appellant, Simon Howie, has no intentions of this being a trade park, and that his application for change of use to class 5 & 6 is to cover his expansion plans for the pyrolysis plant he wants to build on the adjacent site.
